An Amazon Sex Doll Horror Story

An Amazon Sex Doll Horror Story

An Amazon Sex Doll Horror Story

Hey guys, many of you have followed our journey into this industry, and like many other small companies, we started from the ground. Testing the market for high end sex toys and realistic sex dolls wasn’t easy, but it was definitely fun 😜. After trying several manufacturers, factory trips, licenses, certifications, affiliations and so on we settled for realistic TPE and Platinum Silicone sex dolls.

Today, I would like to explain why we do not sell sex products on Amazon.

Once upon a time, when Sex Doll Alley was young and innocent, we attempted to open our amazon store and started selling our products through them. Everything was going well, until we were forced by amazon to accept a returned doll that had been delivered 36 days prior. Due to our company’s sanitary standards, we decided not to accept the doll back, so we allowed the customer to keep his doll and refunded his money. Sadly, the nightmare had just started.... this happened over and over again until we decided to take a chance in getting our product back, but the dolls were definitely used and obviously in no condition to resell.  We then decided to look into storing our products with amazon in order to provide Fast shipping for amazon prime members. When we learned that amazon would accept the product back to their warehouse, no questions ask, they'll turn around and resell it in a heartbeat without sanitary control, YIKES!! we closed our amazon sex doll store and broke up with them for good.

I’ll put it a little bit easier for you, just in case our little story hasn’t painted the picture in your head already, DO NOT BUY SEX TOYS FROM AMAZON. Not to be a bitch, I love amazon myself and I am a prime member, but I know better and I do a lot of research before I purchase. Yes, they have great prices on most things, and shipping is at the speed of light. Sex toys, however, are a different story; in fact, most of the time, it’s best to avoid Amazon altogether. You see, earlier this year (2019) Amazon opened their USA Warehouse doors to foreign sellers, and guess who is taking full advantage of this? That is correct, CHINA. Over 200,000 Chinese sellers started selling on Amazon United States last year, ha! Like Amazon didn’t have a big of a counterfeiting issue already. I could go down the rabbit hole trying to teach you how to spot a Chinese product, besides the shockingly LOW PRICES but if you are buying from Amazon Prime,  you’re pretty much putting your money in a raffle. In Amazon warehouses, products are shelved alongside every other product with the same product barcode. It doesn’t matter if the products differ; as long as the same barcode is printed on their box, they get “co-mingled” in the same bin, you think you’re paying for the real deal and you end up with a counterfeit. Not many are aware of this, but anyone can easily open an amazon seller account, piggy-back on any amazon listing and sell a crappy product instead.

Guys please, do not take your chances buying intimate products on Amazon and buy your sex dolls and sex toys from Registered and/or Certified American Sex Toy Retailers. We are generally strict about our price points, and don’t offer steep discounts or huge sales. And depending on how big the company is, we usually won’t accept returns. You could also try supporting your local sex shop. Of course you’re probably not going to get that tantalizing Amazon discount that comes with a speedy 3 day delivery syphilis, but you will be assured that you’re getting the safe, unused, high-quality, completely customized sex doll you desired. Trust me, even if you have to save up a few more weeks for the real deal, you’ll be happy you did (BTW, ASK FOR OUR SUPER EASY LAYAWAY PAYMENT PLAN).

Research the site and the company. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Sorry guys, but quality sex toys and sex dolls are expensive. Stay safe everyone!

Cheers,

Lola
